Kathie Berard

Kathie Berard joined Silver Leaf in January 2019 as Care Manager/Caregiver. She brings more than 30 years of experience in higher education in admissions, community service/grant writing, and most recently in development work as a Major Gifts Officer. Her interest is in meeting and building relationships between our caregivers and clients. She has experience in caregiving and came to Silver Leaf after hearing a friend rave about their services.

Kathie is motivated to help people feel good about where they are in life. In her words, “The smallest of steps can often help a client take a giant leap toward where they need to be next.” She enjoys being on the recruiting team—another way to cultivate long-term relationships. She gets to hear a caregivers’ background and learn what drives them. Plus, she loves to share the 20-plus year history of Silver Leaf, and what makes us so special!

Outside of work, Kathie enjoys anything outdoors—travel, being on the water, concerts, walking. In cold weather, she dives into movies and reading. Oh, and Notre Dame football! Kathie has two grown daughters and four fabulous grandchildren. She lives in South Burlington.
